Lelia Byron

Lelia Byron is an interdisciplinary artist who makes paintings, sculptures, and public art projects. Lelia’s projects frequently involve an investigative component, often interviewing diverse groups of people about topics related to human rights and the creative process. Recent projects include a solo exhibition of paintings and sculptures at the Springfield Museum of Art, which were based on interviews with Springfield residents about the topic of “home” in relation to personal narratives and social issues such as the housing crisis, and an exhibition at the Rochester Institute of Technology about the relationship between AI technologies and the creative process of an artist. Lelia has a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Carnegie Mellon University and a Master’s in Fine Art from Chelsea College of Arts (University of the Arts London).
